International delegation visits Quang Ninh

On September 3, an international delegation participating in the 80th National Day celebrations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam paid a visit to Quang Ninh province. The group was warmly received by Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Committee and Chairwoman of the Quang Ninh Union of Friendship Organizations, Nguyen Thi Hanh.

The delegation included 52 representatives from 20 countries and territories who are leaders of people’s organizations, friendship associations, NGOs, and long-standing partners of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO).

They were in Vietnam to take part in commemorative activities marking the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day, September 2.

At the reception meeting, Vice Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Hanh and the guests reflected on Vietnam’s historic milestones, its proud traditions of solidarity, and a shared commitment to peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.

She also highlighted Quang Ninh’s unique strengths, including two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Ha Long Bay and the Yen Tu – Vinh Nghiem – Con Son, Kiep Bac complex, which was inscribed as a world cultural heritage site in July.

She expressed confidence that the visit would deepen ties between the people of Vietnam, particularly Quang Ninh, and the international community, while opening new opportunities for collaboration in the years ahead.

Representatives of the delegation and VUFO expressed gratitude for Quang Ninh’s warm, thoughtful reception and emphasized their desire to continue fostering solidarity and partnership with Vietnam through people-to-people exchanges.

They underscored the importance of such cooperation in laying the groundwork for peace, development, and shared prosperity.

After the reception, the delegation toured Ha Long Bay, experiencing its natural beauty and cultural heritage. The visit offered international friends a deeper understanding of Quang Ninh and strengthened their support for Vietnam on its path of renewal, growth, and global integration.
